I am closing on a house in the next week in Illinois. I am planning on spliting up my mortgage payment into a bi-monthly payment. Any ideas as to how long after closing before I have to make my first payment?

I had a recently purchased property under agreement with an FHA buyer. I have owned the property for 6 weeks and was 5 days from closing when her mortgage company said they can’t close because I have not owned the property for 90 days. My problem is we have been under agreement for 6 weeks with a closing date and this comes up. Is this a new rule or an oversight on the mortgage company. The property is in Mass.

If I get approve today for a mortgage loan, how long does it take to show up in a credit report?
Or If get approve for an Auto loan, how long does it take to post in the credit report.
The credit report that the lenders can see.

We have made on offer on a home that is in the process of foreclosure. The Selling agent ordered a HUD1 statement and supposedly submitted to the lenders. The property has a 1st and 2nd. How long should we reasonabley expect until the bank gets back to us/them. How do we know the selling agent really submitted the offer to the banks. It has already been 7 business days (not including sat & sun) offer is 17% below perceived market value.

I purchased my home in Dec’06 and now I want a copy of the appraisal that was done then. I asked for it upon closing in December & was told it was the property of the mortgage co, so I didn’t get it but was told the value of the appraisal was $270,000. My bank has since sold my mortgage to another bank (in Jan’07). The purpose of this is so that I can ask to have my PMI charge removed. The obvious solution to me, would be to go back to the original mortgage co & ask for a copy of the appraisal that was done in Dec’06. Thanks!!

I sold 13 one b/room apt in 07. My tax accountant figured I owe 28,000 in capitol gains and I was wondering how long do I have to re-invest to avoid paying the gains. If I do not re-invest when do I have to pay the 28,000. Would it be due in 2008 or 2009 as I have been told I have 2 years to re-invest. .
